BEE MY JOB: THE FILM
TRAILER

Thanks to the support of a group of beekeepers involved in the project, the idea was born to tell Bee My Job through a short film that could highlight the different aspects of this experience. The documentary plays on the similarity between the importance of a swarm of bees for the balance of the ecosystem and the need to make room for cultural contamination, to welcome those fleeing war, those who are threatened by fragile and dangerous systems just as bees are from the environment that man has polluted. The full version can be viewed on APS Cambalache’s You Tube channel.

GREEN4REFUGEES
NEW OPPORTUNITIES WITH AGRICULTURE & BEES

The know-how cultivated through Bee My Job has been instrumental in shaping Green4Refugees, a project financed by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers through the eight per thousand personal income tax allocation, operational for the 2023-2024 biennium.

Green4Refugees is tailored to benefit 24 individuals under international protection, asylum seekers, and unaccompanied foreign minors. Annually, in March, it offers an immersive training curriculum encompassing beekeeping, agriculture, and aromatic herbs. This comprehensive program includes theoretical instruction, hands-on workshops at Cambalache’s apiary and urban farmland, as well as visits to local farms. To further enhance social and professional integration, supplementary modules on workplace safety, industry-specific Italian language, and orientation to local services are provided.

Since the past two editions, internship programs at Cambalache’s Social-Agricultural hub and select external enterprises have been arranged upon course completion. Such placements are carefully chosen to align with the ethical principles consistently advocated by the Association.
