RESOURCES

Publication series “A come APE” [ape = bee] “A IS FOR APPLE, B IS FOR BEE” addressed to social workers and refugees to facilitate the sharing and replication of the “Bee My Job Model”.

Beekeeping Pantry
A dispensation of Apistic Theory, available to companies that will be able to replicate the Bee My Job project in territorial contexts other than the one in which it was born. The pantry aims to provide guidelines according to a model already validated and consolidated, thus facilitating the task of professional teachers and technicians in the bee sector who will be able to adapt their teaching plan to the needs of a heterogeneous class in terms of languages and cultures of origin, respecting the aims of the project.
Italian as a Second Language for the agricultural sector
A booklet with resources designed to teach agricultural sector-specific vocabulary, featuring exercises and follow-up materials about the different areas of intervention within the Bee My Job project.
Life skills e @work
Two complementary modules within the Bee My Job project aimed to empower beneficiaries, enhancing their agency and autonomy. Life Skills offers tools to navigate independently the local area and its services; @Work presents information on labour legislation as well as offering tools supporting employability skills.
Bee My Job project guidelines
The publication includes the Bee My Job project guidelines, in order for reception facilities operators and social workers to be able to design social inclusion and work integration pathways for asylum seekers and refugees, making use of the project’s know-how and the possibility of adapting the model to different productive sectors, beneficiaries and local contexts.
Toolkit for activities in school
The Toolkit presents a series of activities aimed at gaining new knowledge on issues such as the environment, sustainability, ecology and connecting these with the phenomenon of migration.
A useful tool addressed to educators, reception centre operators, refugees, beekeepers and teachers, who wish to replicate the activities within the Bee My Job educational course in a coherent and extensive way and to a wide range of students at different stages of learning.
Safety First
Complementary teaching materials supporting learning for those undertaking the “Health and Safety at Work (basic risk)” course. The booklet is written in Italian, English, French and is specifically addressed to learners whose mother-tongue is not Italian. This publication intends to promote personal and third-party protection and safety at work. It also aims to offer learners better prospects to pass the tests to earn specific Health & Safety certificates.
The publication has been realised thanks to the support of Aifos Foundation.

BRING THE BEE MY JOB FLAVOURS TO YOUR TABLE

In Alessandria, we’ve contributed to the redevelopment of the park “Forte Acqui” with the installation of an apiary and of a synergistic vegetable garden and a traditional one. Managed in collaboration with Caritas Diocesana of Alessandria, the urban agricultural hub is a place for food production, meeting and training, open to all citizens.
The 30 beehives as well as the production and promotion of the farming and bee products are managed by asylum seekers and other vulnerable people who take part in our work integration programmes. In this way, our products are healthy, ethical and sustenaible.
Take a look at our products: you can find vegetable boxes with fresh, seasonal produce, honey and other bee products, made in collaboration with businesses and charities that support social inclusion, environmental sustainability and the fight against labour exploitation.

You can buy our products online, pick them up from our shop in Alessandria or have them delivered to your house.
With your purchase you will contribute to the project’s growth.
